Magsaysay municipality completes 4 ADM 2017 Projects, the first in Davao del Sur

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) turned-over four projects under the program Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) of 2017 on June 26-27, 2018.

Mayor Arthur Davin explains to the people why they have to pay monthly dues to the water association and the importance of it.


The Potable Water System (PWS) Level II located at Barangay Dalumay worth ₱1,924,867.28 under GS Ferrolino Construction & Supply, was turned-over to Dalumay Farmers and Water Users Association. The PWS Level II project in Barangay Mabini worth ₱1,928,197.40 under the same contractor and was turned-over to Mabini Farmers and Water Users Association. Likewise, the PWS Level II of Barangay San Miguel amounting to ₱1,978,747.99 under the same contractor was turned-over to KAFAMULCO.




While the Core Local Roads in Barangay Poblacion worth ₱9,777,050.73 under the contractor LTB Builders & Construction, was turned-over to the Municipal and Barangay Local Government Units.

DILG congratulates the municipality of Magsaysay for being able to complete all these projects in so short a time. Truly, leadership plays a vital role on this.

“DILG hopes too that the LGU knows the importance of maintaining and sustaining every project given to you. Both in operations and management for the communities’ benefit,” Gale Marie  S. Gravador, Finance and Administrative Division (FAD) Chief, said in her speech during the turn-over ceremony.


FAD Chief Gale Marie S. Gravador says in one of her speeches that the completed projects prove that the local government units and the DILG can work effectively for the benefit of the people.

Also present during the turn-over ceremonies were Provincial Director Remedios Baldovino and MLGOO of Magsaysay and Cluster Head Melody Angoy. ( JGP)
